BIDDING PROCESS

RAS provides trusted Project Managers and Owner’s Representatives for the bidding process required to hire a licensed General Contractor for your restoration project.

RAS project manager will send the bid package to bidders selected by the client to obtain estimates from qualified firms for the necessary structural repairs to bring the building(s) into safe condition.

RAS project manager will meet with contractors and owner’s representative during the pre-bid briefing to highlight engineer and owner expectations on the project and clarify contractor questions.

RAS engineer will respond to any request for information from the bidders to clarify the specifications, if required, before submitting the bid.

After the client receives sealed bids, the RAS engineer will perform a bid comparison among bidders and verify all items  are quoted and completed in compliance with the specifications.

The RAS project manager will sit with the board to explain to the Board the results of the bid tabulation in a spreadsheet.

RAS will shortlist up to three companies and make recommendations to the Board based on the track records, technical and financial capability of the shortlisted companies for the project. 

The RAS project manager will assist the Board in negotiating if required and attend contractors’ presentations.

RAS project manager will assist the client to prepare project synopsis and budget for financing.
